Ramadan Appeal

Assalamu alaikum

With the blessed month upon us, we need to take advantage of these exceptional days and continue in our good deeds. Please donate generously to our various funds and projects or for Ramadhan and Eid, we have our annual Iftar and Eid Gift programmes. You can donate from yourself, in the names of your children and parent or those who are no longer with us.

I cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by. It may be a reflection of my age or the fact that we’ve found ourselves so busy over the last 12 months. The recession has hit many of us, but none more than the poorest of the poor in the developing world. This has put an incredible strain on the resources of ATI and those of our global partners. It is, however, times like this that we feel proudest of our donors and your generosity. You responded exceptionally to the Gaza and Swat emergencies, the feedback from which you can read about in our annual report. Long term work has continued via our Millennium Development Programmes which have attracted a lot of attention and praise.

Please help us to help those most in need, send your Sadaqah, Zakah and Fitrah to us today.

HELP US TO HELP THOSE MOST IN NEED

M. Ahmed, Chairman

p.s We wish you and your family a great Ramadhan. May Allah reward your generosity.

Using the drop downs below, please pick from one of the following options to give to the needy this Ramadan:

EID GIFTS

Give a needy orphan or child a gift this Eid for ONLY £10. Don’t forget the children on Eid.

IFTAR PROGRAMME

The ATI Iftar Programme will be working with some of the poorest people in the world, providing them with food for breaking their fast. A family food parcel to last the whole month of Ramadhan only costs £40 and if you would like to provide a single Iftar this is £3. Hot meals are served in community centres and mosques in poor countries which also encourages people to come together for this blessed time.

FOOD AID THROUGH KAFFARA and FIDYA KAFARA

KAFFARA: If a person breaks a fast in the month of Ramadan without valid reason, he or she is liable to fast for 2 consecutive months. If one cannot fast, due to valid reasons then he or she must feed 60 deserving people 2 meals, or give them the value of the same which, at £2.50per meal, is £5 per person (60 x £5 = £300).

FIDYA: If one cannot fast due to old age/illness then one should pay £5 (2 meals) for each missed fast to a needy person.
